Oh Scrap! : 9 Patches

Is there such thing as a bad nine patch quilt?

Now that I am sewing up the second color for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilts, I have been giving some thought as to how I want to use thsee nine patch blocks I am making.  Should I colorwash them?....maybe frame them?...insert them into a star or churn dash block?
  The options are endless.

I still haven't settled on a final plan but it sure is fun to think about it.  Until then, I will just continue to sew up my blocks each month and wait for inspiration to strike!

And what about you?

No, there's no such thing as a bad 9P quilt. It's always nice to have some on hand.

I love nine patch blocks! There are so many different ways to use them! The ones I'm fascinated with lately are the "tiny nines." I might have to try some. :)

I agree, you can't go wrong with a 9P! I like to set them on point and put them in strips between border prints or bold prints too pretty to cut up into small pieces.

I LOVE a nine patch. Simple but you can really vary it up.

The short answer to your rhetorical question: NO!
What's great is to see how many interesting settings there are.

Of course there are ugly 9-patch blocks. But I could not find a single ugly one here :-) Thank you for visiting my blog.
